Dr. Melinda Pruitt was born and raised in Springfield, Illinois and completed undergraduate studies at DePauw University and post graduate education at the University of Illinois at Chicago. In 2000, she graduated with clinical honors from University of Illinois at Chicago where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.). She completed a 2 year post graduate residency at the West LA Veterans Hospital where she practiced all facets of Hospital Dentistry and enjoyed caring for our veterans. She currently lives in the community with her husband and 12 year old daughter, Madison. She takes pride in continuing education, is constantly learning and will always be a student of her trade.
After 10 years of intense study with Spear Education, Dr. Pruitt was inducted as one of 300 dentists nationwide to serve as a faculty/mentor at the Spear Education/Scottsdale Center of Dentistry. Feel free to read the "Vision" of Spear Education below.
Over the years, Dr. Pruitt has honed her skills in providing life like cosmetic restorations to improve many of her patient's smiles. Dr. Pruitt, also, believes strongly in conservation of tooth structure and preservation of existing dental health. The confidence, experience and friendliness of Dr. Pruitt and her staff enables them in providing gentle dentistry utilizing the latest techniques available today in a relaxed and comfortable environment.
